About Us

My name is Jereymi Longpre. I started my fitness journey in August 2015.
I didn't like how I looked and wanted to make a change. I was getting ready for the upcoming college baseball season and wanted to get in better shape. In my mind, this would make me a better baseball player.

Do you need to take supplements? Straight up answ Do you need to take supplements?

Straight up answer:
If you eat whole foods, sleep 7+ hours a night, drink adequate amounts of water, exercise or move your body daily, and have a solid stress management routine then no you do not.

However, research suggests that only about 10-30%  of adults reach the recommended servings of vegetables in a day. (Depending on the country)

That’s a lot of nutrients to be missing out on.

There’s also the issue of having supplements readily available in our cupboards but then never actually reaching our stomaches. 

The best way I have combated this is each week I divide my supplements into little containers and I take these containers when I pack my bags/ food each day. I make sure I can see the containers as well each day. 

Don’t place them back in the cupboard that you don’t open.

Is your happiness defined by social media?

I feel these questions are very important to ask ourselves.
If you truly believe your happiness will come from looking a certain way you have a big pill to swallow. 

We all go through it. We all at some point believe if our body looks a certain way or is a certain weight will make us happy.

Hard truth: It doesn’t.

Being honest with yourself is really hard. That’s where growth happens. Be content with what you actually want. It’s a funny statement to read but it’s one a lot of people need to hear.

For example: If you want a social life, go out drinking and eating with friends, to not have to be in the gym for 4 hours a day, or weigh what you eat every day then you probably don’t actually want to look super lean. You want a social life. If you’re thinking no I want both those things… its probably that you want to FEEL good/ confident in your body.

There’s a difference between looking a certain way and feeling a certain way.

Be okay with your body where it’s at now.

I can’t believe this is not talked about more in I can’t believe this is not talked about more in the industry.

I believe it may be because as humans we often forget to even take our morning supplements or vitamins. However, I think it’s important to be talked about anyways.

Vitamin C is a fantastic vitamin however, a lot of us depending on what supplements and vitamins we take, probably get enough of it through our other compounds.

If you take a large amount of vitamin C, only a little bit actually can be absorbed in the system. (Some say around 200mg). So if you are taking 1000mg in the morning only 200mg would actually get into your system.

This is why I recommend spreading your doses throughout the day! 

Small doses + throughout the day = Superhuman.*
Simple.

In a study, researchers from Weill Cornell Medical In a study, researchers from Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City, found that the order in which foods are consumed has a significant impact on post-meal glucose and insulin levels in people who struggle with obesity and type 2 diabetes.

The researchers had 11 patients who ate the same meals in different orders 1 week a part to observe how their glucose levels were affected. 

What they found out was incredibly cool.

When the proteins, fats and vegetables were eaten before the carbs, the researchers found that the glucose levels were 29%, 37% and 17% lower at the 30, 60 and 120 minute mark compared with when the carbs were consumed first. Insulin was also found to be significantly lower when the the proteins and fat were eaten first.

So instead of restricting your carbs to the point of hating meal time, if you deal with insulin issues,  try eating your proteins and fats first and see what happens!

I've heard many clients say, "If I just lose X pou I've heard many clients say, "If I just lose X pounds, my life will be perfect."

They believe having a thinner or leaner body will make them happier, more successful, or more confident. 

However, just changing what our body looks like doesn't address the underlying issues that make us unhappy in the first place. 

The truth is, we all have our struggles. Counting almonds and losing inches on our waist isn't going to change that.

Achieving the body composition you've always wanted can bring that feeling of happiness for a short period of time. It's a false sense of happiness that will fade. For many of us, these body goals are unrealistic and can lead to many mental and physical health issues in the long run.

Feeling good and confident in your body is something that is created from the inside out. True happiness comes from having compassion for yourself and realizing there is so much more to you than what you look like.

While it is true that cutting calories is an effec While it is true that cutting calories is an effective way to lose weight, reducing calories drastically and for too long can cause long term health problems.

Calorie needs vary from person to person based on many factors like body size, muscle mass, activity level etc..
